Golden-Interior Chawan

A wide chawan with a dark iron-brown exterior marked by ash and amber patches from the wood firing. The interior has been glazed separately in a warm golden-amber that pools in the base — a pool of warmth at the heart of a dark form. This contrast draws the eye and the hand back again and again.
