Lidded Vessel

A wheel-thrown lidded vessel from this body of wood-fired work. Covered vessels are rare in this collection — the challenge of throwing lid and body to fit together precisely, then firing them as a unit, demands extra care. Like all pieces here, this vessel carries the marks of the wood kiln: ash deposits, iron variation, and surfaces shaped by fire.
