Amber Drip Chawan

A straightforward cylinder form with straight walls and an open mouth — this chawan doesn't reach for complexity in its shape, so the glaze does all the speaking. A warm amber-gold covers the upper half, giving way to ash-gray below where the clay's own mineral character shows through. Dark drips descend from the rim like rain, some reaching the lower body in long black threads.

The surface texture is rough and responsive — you can feel the granular quality through the palms when the bowl is held. This is a working chawan, unpretentious and direct, the kind of bowl that improves with daily use.
