Slate Band Chawan

Dark charcoal throughout, with horizontal lines pressed into the surface that give it the layered look of metamorphic rock. The glaze is matte and dry, ungiving in the way that slate is. The form is round and full, the foot small, the walls even.

It would sit comfortably in a mountain stream.
