Obsidian Chawan

Pure black, very smooth, low, and wide — the most minimal chawan in the series. The glaze is flat and even, without the texture or variation that characterizes most of the other dark pieces. What makes it is the form: a gentle inward curve just below the rim, a confident foot ring, and proportions that feel resolved.

This one earns its quiet through discipline.
