Gas-Fired Bowl Set

A set of bowls from an earlier gas-firing period. Bowls made in multiples are a central tradition in this studio's practice — the repetition of throwing the same form in quantity builds both skill and a kind of coherence across the set, while the kiln gives each piece its own unique glaze character. These pieces carry the iron-rich, atmospheric surfaces characteristic of the gas-fired work.
