Slate Square Chawan
The slightly squared silhouette of this chawan sets it apart from the rest of the series — its walls are gently faceted rather than fully round, giving it a more architectural presence. The glaze is a dark slate-gray with scattered patches of blue mineral color, the result of specific interactions in the wood-firing atmosphere.
The texture is rough and varied, with the clay surface showing through in places. The slightly inward-curving walls create an interesting rim profile. A bowl for the collector who wants something a little different.
