Pale Stone Chawan

Thrown wide and low, this chawan is finished in a rough, pale sage-green glaze that sits on the surface like lichen on granite. The texture is kairagi — deeply crawled and pitted, pulling back to reveal sandy clay beneath. The faceted walls give it a geometry that most chawan avoid, letting light catch each flat plane differently.

The interior opens generously, pale and matte, good for whisking and for looking into.
