Raw Earth Chawan

Barely glazed, with the clay body reading through clearly — a deep reddish-brown that looks dug rather than made. The rim is rough and irregular, the walls marked by the hands that shaped them, the base showing where it was cut from the wheel.

This is as close to the source material as a finished chawan gets. The kiln did the minimum and left the rest.
