Stone Garden Chawan

A compact, bucket-form chawan with straight, slightly tapering walls that give it a grounded, meditative presence. The surface is alive with layered grays, muted greens, and traces of purple — the result of multiple glaze interactions in a wood-fired kiln. No two areas of the surface are the same; up close, the glaze reveals a micro-landscape of craters, pooling, and mineral bloom.

The interior carries the same complexity, with darkened clay catching the light differently depending on the angle. This is a bowl made to be held and turned slowly.
