Sediment Vase

The glaze on this oval vase has settled in layers — warm brown at the neck and rim, olive-green in the middle, both colors merging in the way that geological strata merge: distinct but not divided. The surface has a matte, absorptive quality, and the color layers read as something deposited over time rather than applied at once.

The form is wide and egg-like, with a short neck and small opening. A grounded, unhurried vase — the kind that asks to be set somewhere and simply left there.
