Tenmoku Yunomi with Ash Drips

A rounded barrel yunomi glazed in deep tenmoku-black iron. During wood firing, ash landed on the shoulder of the cup and melted, running down the front in long gold and amber drips that froze in place when the kiln cooled. Each drip is unique — a record of the moment the kiln's atmosphere transformed the piece.
